Black, White, And Blue Community Forum

One of the Central Methodist University events sponsored in February in celebration of Black History Month is the “Black, White, and Blue Community Forum.”

The forum is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 8, from 7-9 p.m. on the fourth floor of the Inman Student and Community Center on the Fayette campus. It will be led by a panel of professionals.

Sponsored by CMU’s newly established African American Student Union, the forum is open to everyone and is free to all.

The factors that led to incidents in the early summer of 2016 in Ferguson, Mo., and other locations will be discussed. Central’s focus is to understand those influences and the attitudes and opinions about these events.

Further, the group will address the state of racial relationships in our communities, on Central’s campus, and in America as a whole; and to create understanding and bridge the gap of any misunderstanding among individuals and law enforcement.

Reservations are not required; however, RSVPs are welcomed by emailing Connie Hayes
